so you light up the formica to remove the shadows?
could you use a white sheet instead?
I just use the back of linoleum. A white piece of paper or sheet would work too. A sheet may have wrinkles in it. A white wall or a single piece of photography backdrop paper or muslin will work too. You can get those on amazon or ebay too. Just watch for creases, wrinkles or waves – it can take away the illusion of having an “infinity” background. I appreciate this question.
I ended up getting 3/16″ foam board 4′ x 8’….I need more lights to get rid of shadows and brighter lights for the subject (me)!
The bright lights I got only had 35 watt bulbs..definitely not enough.
Hi Clary, Here is what I posted earlier that I think answers this question best.
I thought the same thing when I purchased my lights. The short answer is the standard iPhone camera app automates the exposure. Get Almost DSLR and/or FilMic Pro. These will allow you to select (and lock) the exposure on the subject (you) without the camera taking into consideration the whole image.
The bulbs that came with my kit are 125 Watts. I purchase the Home Depot 40 Watt (equivalent to 200 Watts) Here is what I use in the Brooder/Utility lights. This should work the same for your light kit – just be careful to read the kit instructions. Make sure that any different bulbs don’t get the light kit housing too hot.
Here’s the bulb I buy: http://www.menards.com/main/lighting-fans/light-bulbs/fluorescent/40-watt-cfl-daylight-high-wattage-twist/p-1442671-c-7478.htm
this video starting as soon as it loaded….how can I get mine to do that? Is it your sophisticated software you use?
